From its missing Eleanor Cross to the construction of a new town, Stony Stratford has been an observer to many significant moments in history. On this walk we'll see Stony Stratford's past – markets, floods, fires, new town and all – through its extraordinary buildings and landscape, from Watling Street to the river. And take a rare opportunity to explore inside the magnificent Magdalen Tower. Will this walk be a way of travelling through time, or just another Cock and Bull Story? Come along and discover for yourself!
John Grindrod is the author of three books: Concretopia, Outskirts and Iconicon; and has given many guided walks and talks around the UK.
